Adobe Acrobat Pro (DC) - Level 2

Overview

This hands-on 1-day course is based on the current desktop version of Adobe Acrobat Pro (DC). Participants using earlier versions (2015 and forward) will be able to follow along, although some of the newest features may not be available in older versions.

This advanced course is designed for learners with previous experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro equivalent to OnTrack Adobe Acrobat Pro - Level 1. Experienced self-taught users may find this course a valuable refresher.

Adobe Acrobat Pro is a powerful application for creating, viewing, editing, and sharing PDF documents across a wide range of devices. It provides tools for combining files, adding comments, inserting multimedia, and preparing professional-quality PDFs for distribution. Acrobat is widely used in business, education, and design fields because it ensures documents appear exactly as intended, regardless of platform.

Working with complex documents, aligning objects, managing layers, editing structure, and advanced text/image adjustments.

Module 2 - Creating Interactive PDF Forms

Creating forms from scratch, converting forms from Word, adding text fields, checkboxes, combo boxes, radio buttons, and signature fields.

Module 3 - Working with Calculated and Validated Fields

Using field properties, formatting options, calculations, and validation rules.

Module 4 - Form Distribution and Data Collection

Tracking responses, exporting form data to spreadsheets, and managing returned submissions.

Module 5 - Accessibility and Tagging

Using the Accessibility Checker, adding and fixing tags, setting reading order, alt text, and preparing accessible PDFs for compliance.

Module 6 - Document Security and Redaction

Applying certificate security, digital IDs, redacting sensitive information, and using encryption.

Module 7 - Collaboration and Review Management

Sending documents for review, tracking comments, importing/exporting comments, and comparing two versions of a PDF.

Module 8 - Print Production Tools

Using Preflight profiles, Output Preview, color management, flattening transparency, and preparing print-ready files.

Module 9 - Automating Workflows with Actions

Creating and using Actions (batch processes) to streamline repetitive tasks.

Module 10 - Integration and Best Practices

Connecting Acrobat with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

Learn to be more efficient in Adobe Acrobat and what resources are available.

Using Adobe AI Sensei and Firefly as well as other AI(CoPilot, ChatGPT etc.)
